Victrons new 24V inverter/charger

The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing (max. 32A).  It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with built-in anti-islanding and an increasingly long list of country approvals.

PowerAssist

The MultiPlus-II will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.

ESS: Energy Storage Systems

The MultiPlus-II is the key component in a Victron ESS system, providing the flexibility to combine with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters. For examples and more detailed information see the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.

Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)

In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.

Remote Monitoring and Control

Monitor and control your Multi and system or systems' locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC for multiple operating systems. The GX Touch 50 is the display accessory for our Cerbo GX. The five inch a touch screen display gives an instant overview of your system and allows to adjust settings in the blink of an eye. The Lynx Distributor contains a positive and a negative busbar. The positive busbar has four fuse-protected connections with fuse monitoring. The negative busbar has four connections and a ground connection. It is part of the Lynx Distribution system and is available in two versions, with M8 or M10 busbar. Note that M10 refers to the busbar connection joints where the modules are connected to each other. The fuse and cable connections are always M8. The Lynx Distributor has a power LED and four fuse status indication LEDs. If connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, up to 4 Lynx Distributors can send fuse status information to the Lynx Smart BMS. This feature is not available when connected to a Lynx Shunt VE.Can.

The Smart Battery Shunt

The SmartShunt is an all in one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.

Alternatively the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE.Direct cable.

The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted.
The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.

This unit has M10 bolts.

The BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine.

Programming made easy
The BatteryProtect can be set to engage / disengage at several different voltages. The seven segment display will indicate which setting has been chosen.

A special setting for Li-ion batteries
In this mode the Battery Protect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS.
Note: the Battery Protect can also be used as a charge interrupter in between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See connection diagram in the manual.

Ultra low current consumption
This is important in case of Li-ion batteries, especially after low voltage shutdown. Please see our Li-ion battery datasheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information.

Over voltage protection
To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to over voltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16V respectively 32V.

Ignition proof
No relays but MOSFET switches, and therefore no sparks.

Delayed alarm output
The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level during more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine will therefore not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short circuit proof open collector output to the negative (minus) rail, max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically used to activate a buzzer, LED or relay.

Delayed load disconnect and delayed reconnect
The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm has been activated. If the battery voltage increases again to the connect threshold within this time period (after the engine has been started for example), the load will not be disconnected.
The load will be reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage has increased to more than the preset reconnect voltage.

The VE.Direct cable is used for comunication between Victron VE Direct devices. For example it can be used to connect a Victron battery monitor to the Victron Colour Control or to connect a Victron GlobalLink 520 to a Victron MPPT Controller that has a VE direct port.
