​The XTRA tracer models have a current limiting function, you can connect 1.5 times the rated power to the controller ​so if your on a budget you can use a smaller controller with more panels so that you get more power in winter or low light but don't risk overloading the controller in the summer.  The output will be limited to the max listed above.

New EPEver (Tracer) series is EPsolar’s third generation of MPPT controller.

XTRA series are advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controllers, for off grid photovoltaic systems, with display unit.

In order to maximise the energy harvest from PV arrays and simultaneously minimise the power loss within a wide range of operating conditions, XTRA series apply an advanced smart algorithm which results in up to 30% higher efficient charging, compared to a conventional pulse width modulation (PWM) charge controller. Xtra series controller have limit protection function on charging current &charging power, as well as auto derating power operation at high temperature; the above protection ensure the stability of system even at exceeded rated PV power and over temperature conditions.

Protection class IP32 and isolated RS485 communication port further improve the controller’s reliability under different application requirements. XTRA series controllers incorporate a self-adaptive three-stage charging algorithm based on a digital control circuit, which effectively prolongs the lifespan of battery and significantly improve the system performance. Fixes without screwing holes in your roof!

Panels over 175w should be bolted down, these are unsuitable.

Set of seven black solar panel mounting kit, including 6 brackets (4 corners and 2 sides) and cable gland.  They are ideal for fixing our solar panels to any vehicle, caravan, boat, barge or even outbuildings and sheds to provide a strong, secure and aesthetically pleasing fixing method, the mounts will support the solar panel at the correct height above the surface to enable the flow of air underneath the panel and keep it cool, ensuring the solar panel functions at it's optimum. The mounts can be safely bonded to the surface removing the need to drill holes.  The panel is secured by screwing or bolting it to the mounting corner, but the corner itself can be fixed with a good strong adhesive like 'Sikaflex' or 'CT1' or any polyurethane sealant to the roof. (Ensure the roof is clean and dry before attaching.   If a painted roof ensure the paint is not flakey)

ABS mounts raise the panel by 25mm.  Edge of panel to edge of ABS is 55mm.

If you are fitting to a vehicle we recommend that you additionally bolt or screw the panel and mounting down as well, as the strength of these systems is only as strong as the roof type or paint on your roof!

NOTE - You need to purchase additional self tappers or bolts to fit the panel to the ABS mounts, see below for one method...

Best practice would be to use this unit with no bigger than 10mm square cable and appropriately sized breakers if you are using it with glands for a water tight fit.  If you are using it in an environment that is already dry and dust free the use of glands may not be necessary.
