The Steca PF 240 is the most efficient DC energy-saving refrigerator ever to be developed. It can be used as either a refrigerator or a freezer. It can be run from solar direct or a battery.

The Steca PF 240 are fully programmable. The inside temperature and each of the other configuration values can be set by the user. They are therefore perfectly suited for all DC applications including even the refrigeration of medicines in hospitals. Thanks to the latest A+++ energy efficiency class, together with optimal electronic control and an RPM control of the compressor, it is possible to ensure that the energy is used extremely efficiently. Unit best used for housing 1 x AC RCBos, string fuse holders and fuses up to 32a as opposed to DC Din Mount breakers.

Best practice would be to use this unit with no bigger than 6mm square cable and appropriately sized breakers if you are using it with glands for a water tight fit.  If you are using it in an environment that is already dry and dust free the use of glands may not be necessary.
