This is a Top loading Chest Freezer which has a clever fridge mode so you can use as a solar fridge (without having to do the modification in our guide)
It runs on 230V AC so you need to run from your inverter. Its a super affordable and easy plug and play solution for a solar fridge.
The advantage of using a freezer is the insulation layer is much greater and top loading means that the cold doesn’t fall out every time you open it. They also tend to have a larger compressor so will have to run for less time to get the amount of cold you want.
