Victrons new 48V inverter/charger

The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It has all the features of the MultiPlus, plus an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with external current sensing (max. 32A).  It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with built-in anti-islanding and an increasingly long list of country approvals.

PowerAssist

The MultiPlus-II will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.

ESS: Energy Storage Systems

The MultiPlus-II is the key component in a Victron ESS system, providing the flexibility to combine with MPPT Solar Chargers or Grid-tie PV Inverters. For examples and more detailed information see the ESS (Energy Storage System) manual.

Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)

In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.

Remote Monitoring and Control

Monitor and control your Multi and system or systems' locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website. The GX Touch 50 is the display accessory for our Cerbo GX. The five inch a touch screen display gives an instant overview of your system and allows to adjust settings in the blink of an eye. The main differences between the original version and this MK2 version are: 

• Two fully functional canbus ports, called VE.Can 1 and VE.Can 2. Instead of one VE.Can and one BMS-Can port.
• VE.Can 1 is isolated. On previous models, there was no isolated canbus port.
• RJ-45 sockets have been rotated 180 degrees, so its easier to take the cables out.
• All three USB ports are fully functional. Instead of two functional and one for power (to a GX Touch) only.
• Digital inputs can do pulse counting

The Victron Cerbo is the all-new communication-centre allowing you to always have perfect control over your system from wherever you are and maximises its performance. Simply connect through our Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, or access directly, using the separate GX Touch 50, a MFD or our VictronConnect app thanks to its added Bluetooth capability. This latest addition to the GX-range combines all the best of connectivity, redefining smart power solutions in every way.

The Lynx Distributor contains a positive and a negative busbar. The positive busbar has four fuse-protected connections with fuse monitoring. The negative busbar has four connections and a ground connection. 

The fuse and cable connections are always M8. The Lynx Distributor has a power LED and four fuse status indication LEDs. If connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, up to 4 Lynx Distributors can send fuse status information to the Lynx Smart BMS. This feature is not available when connected to a Lynx Shunt VE.Can.

Victron MK3-USB Configuration Interface

The MK3-USB allows the following products to connect to a computer for configuration and firmware updates using the Victron VE Configure software

Multi, MultiGrid, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro, Inverter/Charger settings in ECOmulti, EasySolar, EasyPlus, and other Inverters with a VE.Bus communication port.

Counsider purchasing a Cat 5 ethernet cable to go with this product if you don't already have one. You won't be able to connect the MK3 interface to an inverter product without an ethernet cable.

Supported Platforms

The VEConfigure tools are only available for Windows. For Mac, there is a (not officially supported) work around available.

The MC4-Evo 2 In-line Fuse (PV-K/ILF3) with a crimping connection guarantees a long-lasting, stable connection in comparison to conventional omega-style clips: Minimal energy loss, low heat generation. Robust housing, safety class IP68 (1 m, 1 h). Cable cross-section 6 mm².

It is acceptable to hand tighten these connectors, but if you wanted to use a spanner type Staubli tool the reference is 32.6070 (MC4-MS-EVO READY) and currently you will need to source this yourself.

Fuse holder for NH type fuses, suitable for protecting and isolating cables between the battery and inverter or PV charge controller and the battery. Integrated handle enabling use as an isolator.

Use this cable to connect a CAN-bus enabled battery, not from Victron, to a Victron system. Types A - normally for Pylontech C series batteries and BYD battery applications. Please review the battery manual for details on which cable to use for which brand/model of battery.
