REDARC BCDC1250D 50A 12V DC Battery to Battery charger – charge your aux battery on the move from both solar and alternator
The REDARC range of battery to battery chargers are designed and tested in Australia for the toughest conditions to provide easy and efficient in-vehicle charging of batteries.
The new and higher output REDARC BCDC1250D is a 12V/24V input 50A output In-vehicle Battery to Battery charger. Incorporating dual input technology the BCDC1250D will easily and efficiently charge your 12V auxiliary battery on the move from alternator and solar utilising the integrated MPPT controller.
The new “Dual” version of the highly acclaimed Redarc BCDC range of battery to battery chargers provides simultaneous charging of your auxiliary battery from DC and solar with a suitable PV panel connected. Green power priority ensures that power generated from solar is used first before supplementing any short fall from the vehicle alternator.
Three models at 25A, 40A and 50A now replace the previous BCDC varients making selection of the correct charger incredibly simple. The BCDC Dual can be used with both 12V and 24V conventional AND smart alternators (EU5/EU6) and is capable to efficiently and safely charge all common lead acid battery chemistries (AGM/SLA/Calcium). The unit also now has a lithium (LiFePO4) charging profile to reliably fast charge a 12V lithium auxiliary battery.
The BCDC battery to battery charger range features a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, extracting the maximum amount of power from 12V solar panels to charge the auxiliary battery, even during low light conditions, when you’re parked.

Use one pair for up to 100w panels and 2 pairs larger panels. Three or more pairs for the largest panels over 2m long is highly recommended. Bear in mind judgement is important when using this guidance, each fit is different and you need to judge the best fit for yourself.

The panel will sit 2.5cm up on the ledge from the plate that is riveted / bolted to the substrate (roof).
This outdoor rated combiner box is for safely combining larger strings of solar panels >= 3. The box comes fitted with Din rail and 10 X M20 glands with a cable outer diameter range of 5 - 10mm.
The enclosure features knock out discs so no drilling is required. Just punch out the number if gland spaces required, and fit the glands. You must select the fuse holder, fuses, bus bar, feeder terminal and extra glands if required for your system. See related items tab above to see the breakers that fit. If fusing positive conductors only, select Din rail block to combine the negatives. It is possible to mount he box without puncturing it thus maintaining the IP waterproof rating
