Solar ABS Mounting System for Caravans, Boats, Sheds 7 piece set - BLACK ONLY

Seven piece solar panel mounting kit in black ABS.

The set includes 6 brackets (4 corners and 2 sides) and cable entry gland.

These mounts are ideal for fixing our solar panels to any vehicle, caravan, boat, barge or even outbuildings and sheds to provide a strong, secure and aesthetically pleasing fixing method.

The mounts will support the solar panel at 25mm above the surface enabling airflow underneath which keeps it cool, ensuring the solar panel functions at it's optimum.

General mounting guidance:

If using with panels equal to or under 175W, you can secure the panel by screwing or bolting it to the mounting corner.  The corner itself can be fixed with a good strong adhesive like 'Sikaflex' or 'CT1' which we sell in black white or clear.  See related products tab.  This removes the need to drill holes in your roof!

You must ensure the roof is clean and dry before attaching.   If a painted roof ensure the paint is not flakey.

If you are using panels over 175W in size we recommend that not only do you bolt or screw the panel to the corners but additionally bolt or screw the mounting to the roof as well.

If fitting any panel to a vehicle we would recommend the belt and braces approach of bolting or screwing the panel to the mounts and additionally bolt or screw the mounts to the roof.  The strength of these systems is only as strong as the roof type or paint on your roof!

Notes:

- ABS mounts raise the panel by 25mm.  Edge of panel to edge of ABS is 55mm.

- You need to purchase additional self tappers or bolts to fit the panel to the ABS mounts, see below for one method which is a good tutorial to get you started...
