This temperature sensor probe must be fitted to Sunny Island systems that have a Lead acid or Nickel Iron battery bank fitted. In summary any battery system that is not communicating its temperture back to the Sunny Island via a CAN BUS BMS(battery management system) needs a battery termperature sensor.
